Patriotic Vase

For this 4th of July, I suggest you ramp things up with a festive, patriotic vase. Utilizing the vase as another way to feed into the theme will help take your bouquet to next level!

Selecting a vase that is a BOLD 4th of July color will also make your overall bouquet more cohesive.

While there are many options, and you could go with any vase that is Red, White or Blue. I have already chosen this Rustic Red Tin vase as the winner.

Click the link below if you don’t already have it!

Once your vase is in hand, and you’ve added water and flower food, you’re ready to get started.

If the rustic tin vase isn’t your vibe, no worries! There are several other patriotic vases that would keep perfectly with the theme. All holiday floral accessories are in the link below.

White Alstroemerias

You have your Red, time for the White!

Alstroemerias are a great flower to work with. They have many blossoms on a single stem, which provides fullness.

Their fullness also acts as a support to other flowers as you build the bouquet.

Alstroemerias have a longer blooming period as well. Many times, I will reuse these flowers in a second arrangement a week later!

Just make sure you are gentle with them, as they will be more delicate and can lose their blooms easily if bumped.

Grab a handful, trim the stems and plop them in the vase!

Most times, Alstroemerias will fall into place perfectly, with minimal need for readjusting.

Once you have the desired shape, you can move on to the next flower.

Red Daisies for the Win!

The next go to for this bouquet is the Red Daisy.

Seeing how the Daisy has a large bloom, it takes up much real estate. Which means, you don’t need many of them for this arrangement.

Daisies mostly come in a half dozen, so you automatically have enough to create two bouquets.

OR, you can really accentuate the red by adding in more Daises.

As you can see, I only placed three Daisies as I felt this is the perfect balance for this bouquet.

Due to the size of this bouquet and having enough flowers for more than one arrangement, showcasing this patriotic bunch more than once throughout your decor is recommended.

Knowing how many bouquets you want to display ahead of time can be very helpful when gathering all the necessary supplies. So, make sure you have enough flowers and order enough vases as well!

More White Flowers?

Yes! I know this may not seem like the right direction to go in, but trust me, it’s going to work out.

To create more depth and texture in this bouquet, I selected these fun Veronicas.

They do come in a deep purple or Indigo, but they don’t have enough of a blue hue to be the right BLUE we are looking for.

So, to gain more variety, but keep the perfect combination of colors for our patriotic flower flare, I’ve chosen to add these White Veronicas.

Evenly space them throughout and allow them to stick out beyond the other flowers.

Finally, the BLUE we’ve all been waiting for!

Finding the right blue flower can be tricky at times. Mostly because there may not be many blue options.

These Blue Eryngium are not only the right shade of blue, but they also add to the 4th of July theme with their unusual shape.

I don’t know about you, but these flowers remind me of fireworks! It’s like they knew the intended theme and showed up prepared to wow everyone.

Once again, place the flowers evenly throughout the bouquet, adding in as many as you like.

Any space that could use a pop of blue will be the best spot for the Eryngium.

Just make sure to handle these gently if you must touch the bloom as they are a bit spikey, but harmless.

I hope this perfectly Patriotic Flower Bouquet fulfills all of your 4th of July flower needs and adds to creating the most memorable of summers. Thank you for allowing me to be your floral arranging guide and I look forward to taking you on many more flower arranging journeys. Until next time, take care flower fans.
