Deep and dramatic are the hues of Autumn. They are wondrous and vibrant, but only for a short while, as their vivid colors are fleetingly. Before the leaves fall, they show off the deepest colors that are held within them, never lasting long enough. Do you find yourself wishing the rich treasures of Autumn would linger a little longer? Me too. I can show you how to bring the essence of Fall back to life with this Deep Autumn Colors flower arrangement!

Selecting the Vase
In keeping with the theme of Autumn, I selected a vase that mimics other aspects of Fall. Along with the bright colors that Autumn is famously known for, it is also sprinkled with the remnants of those that retired early.
Some trees and shrubs are a bit too eager to drop their leaves, exposing their bare branches, protruding among the remaining colorful leaves. Therefore, I felt it was only natural to use a vase that is covered in wicker, resembling exposed limbs.
The wicker vase is also the perfect size for this flower arrangement. It is of medium height with a moderate size vase mouth and neck.
If you’re like me and find this vase’s style to be unique but also highly suitable for many of your flower arrangements, then make sure to grab it while it’s still available.
Stock flowers are some of my favorite flowers to arrange. They have beautiful full blooms and a heavenly scent.
Due to their robust blossoms and vibrant colors, they make a great filler flower. But did you know that Stock flowers, Matthiola incana, are also edible and have medicinal properties?
If you’re ever feeling adventurous, try adding edible Stock Flowers to a recipe, but make sure you incorporate ones that are intended as food or are grown organically.
For today’s purposes, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle and simply place them in your chosen vase. Allow them to fall as they may.
TIP: Remove any leaves on the lower portion of the stem to keep the water fresher longer. Feel free to leave the upper most leaves for added greenery.

Add Seeded Eucalyptus!
There are so many wonderful varieties of Eucalyptus! I like to use the seeded variety when I’m wanting to add texture and character to an arrangement. This particular Eucalyptus even looks great as a garlandor wreath!
Some Eucalyptus varieties can add dramatic effect or a whimsical feel to a flower arrangement due to the drapey nature of the stems. For this bouquet, the playfulness of the Seeded variety was the perfect match.
There are many ways to incorporate Seeded Eucalyptus into flowers arrangements. For this Deep Autumn Colors bouquet, place a single stem in the center. Additional stems can be placed along the edges and woven in between the Stock Flowers for even distribution.
Side note: Keep a couple of stems off to the side. Once you’re done arranging the flowers, if there are any gaps, you can fill them in with the extra Eucalyptus.
Enchanting Indigo Veronicas
Indigo is rarely found in nature, but Veronicas, (Speedwells) are one of the few flowers that display this darker hue naturally.
I felt adding the deep blue element to this flower arrangement would make the bouquet even more captivating, even though deep blues are not seen in the Fall color spectrum. In addition to the Veronica’s unique hue, the distinctive spire-like shape of the flower adds a playful touch to the mix.
Make sure to trim the stems before placing the Veronicas within the bouquet. Upon adding them, position them slightly elevated above the other flowers.
*Always freshly trim all the stems in your bouquet! It allows the flowers and greenery to absorb water efficiently, thereafter, leaving you with happier, longer lasting botanicals.

Roses are the ultimate, classic flower. They are gorgeous and will look good no matter what you decide to do with them.
In grocery stores, the most common rose colors are red, pinks or white. From time to time, you’ll see them in other colors like purple, yellow or even ombres. SO, this past week when I saw these vibrant, fiery Orange Roses, I knew I had to have them!
Not only did these brilliantly bold Roses catch my attention, but they were the perfect shade for my Deep Autumn Colors flower arrangement. It was simply meant to be!
Given that this arrangement is inspired by the rich blend of autumn’s vibrant colors, it only makes sense to reflect those same color combinations within the bouquet.
Trim your stems and remove any lower leaves or thorns, (link below for thorn stripper). Evenly distribute the Roses within the flower arrangement, adding as many as you like!
Well, you’re in luck because I have just the thing. With keeping in mind the vivid colors of Fall, I did my best to include all the colors that stand out during this time of year. I also wanted to demonstrate how to represent the Fall with various flower types.
During Autumn, the stores are flooded with Mums. While they are pretty and have their own unique features that deserve to be showcased, I recognize not everyone likes Mums or may be unsure of how to utilize them in bouquets. Taking that into account, I created a Fall flower arrangement exclusive of Mums, which was displayed above.
On the other hand, for those that like Mums, but find it challenging to blend them with other flowers, I have provided you all with an example of how to incorporate Mums into a bouquet. It is the exact same flower arrangement from above, but I exchanged the orange Roses with these deep red Mums —You all are also receiving this variation because I couldn’t quite decide between the gorgeous orange Roses and these stunning deep red Cremon Mums!

Here is a side-by-side comparison of the same bouquet, but with the swap out of the Red Mums and Orange Roses. Tell me, which combination is your favorite? I’d love to know!
